Socrates Georgiades, better known as Sox, has been DJing professionaly for 20 years. A born entertainer, he truly believes and lives by his motto of “it’s not what you play, it’s how you play it.”

He is a bundle of energy behind the decks playing his open format style and is comfortable dropping any genre or track that he feels will rock the crowd at that moment, be it Commercial, Hip Hop, R&B, House, Rock, Disco, or Old School Classics. His undoubted strong point is having a gift for reading the crowd and he is there to give the dance floor exactly what it needs.

He is the resident DJ at Café Caprice in Camps Bay, Cape Town, and has been for the last 20 years on their signature Sunday nights, which are world-renowned. He has played at all of the big clubs in South Africa and alongside local and international celebrity DJs. He has DJ'd all over South Africa as well as Los Angeles, Athens, London, Beijing, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and Zambia

His personal highlights include playing exclusive parties for Robert de Niro, Paris Hilton, Jamiroquai and the Black Eyed Peas, just to name a few, as well as private parties for Bob Skinstad and Graeme Smith (former South African rugby and cricket captains, respectively), Mark Boucher and Morne Morkel to name a few

Some of the biggest and most successful events he has played at, have been the internationally recognised Cape Town 10’s and the South African leg of the International Rugby Sevens in PE.
