Socrates Georgiades, better known as Sox, has been DJing for over 10 years. A born entertainer, he truly believes and lives by his motto of “it’s not what you play, it’s how you play it.”

He is a bundle of energy behind the decks, is comfortable dropping any genre or track that he feels will rock the crowd at that moment, be it Commercial, Hip Hop, R&B, House, Rock, Disco, or Old School Classics. His undoubted strong point is having a gift for reading the crowd and he is there to give the dance floor exactly what it needs.

He is the resident DJ at Café Caprice in Camps Bay, Cape Town, and has been for the last 10 years on their signature Sunday nights, which are world-renowned. He has played at all of the big clubs in SA and alongside local and international celebrity DJs. He has DJ'd all over South Africa, Los Angeles, Athens, London, Beijing, Zimbabwe and Mauritius.

Highlights include playing exclusive parties for Robert de Niro, Paris Hilton, Jamiroquai and the Black Eyed Peas, just to name a few, as well as private parties for Bob Skinstad and Graeme Smith (former South African rugby and cricket captains, respectively.)

Some of the biggest and most successful events he has played at, have been the internationally recognised Cape Town 10’s and the South African leg of the International Rugby Sevens in PE.

DJ Sox is undoubtedly one of Cape Town’s most popular DJs and is sought out every year for all the major annual events such as Men’s Health Look, Sports Illustrated Swimwear, Cosmopolitans Hottest Barman search, Cosmopolitans various fashion shows such as Lingerie, Denim and Swimsuit, as well as Shape Magazine Charity Ball parties, GUESS parties, launches and fashion shows. He has played at the J&B met and the Lormarins Queens Plate After Parties and many other elite events and parties.
